Coastal View Care Centre is looking for a passionate Physio Assistant for a fulltime permanent position.

About Coastal View Village

Coastal View is nestled atop the Tahunanui Hills with stunning views over Tasman Bay and Rabbit Island. Our village boasts architecturally designed independent living homes. In addition, our care centre offers spacious care suites, offering top-notch rest home, hospital, and specialized dementia care.

About the Role – Mo te Turanga

• Providing the best practiced residential care to all residents.
• Promotion and maintenance of resident's health by providing physical therapy services
• Evaluates abnormal conditions by reviewing physical therapist’s interpretations of resident’s evaluations
• Documents resident care services by recording in residents care notes
• Provide activities/exercises to maintain mobility and flexibility
• Helps residents in using supportive devices, such as walking frames, walking sticks and prostheses.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with policy and procedures, and adhering to infection-control protocols
• Updates knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
• Responsibilities include maintaining resident health through physical therapy, recording care notes, providing exercises to enhance mobility, and assisting with supportive devices.

Hours: Full-time, five days a week, 7 hours a day.

Applicants: must have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.

About You – Nga Korero Mou

We’re looking for someone who is:

·         Creative, interactive, and able to relate well to others.

·         Vibrant and engaging personality

·         Skilled with MS Office and comfortable using technology.

·         Detail-oriented with strong communication skills.

·         Dementia training and prior experience working in a hospital or rest home care facility is an advantage

·         Excellent communication skills

·         Physiological knowledge including health promotion

·         Physio Assistant training or an equivalent qualification preferred

·         Physiological knowledge including health promotion
