What they need
Kanda is a large organisation, but our allied health team isn't. You'd be joining a small, boutique team inside a national provider — established enough to offer real stability, new enough that you'll shape how allied health is done here, not just slot into a system someone else built.
This role sits within our Veterans and Aged Care community team, working directly in the homes and communities of the veterans and older Australians we support. It's not clinic-based work — it's community physiotherapy, delivered where people actually live. Supporting veterans and older Australians to stay independent in their own homes is work Kanda takes seriously, and it shows in how the team is set up to do it properly.
What you'll be doing
- Delivering physiotherapy in the community to veterans and aged care clients, working across their homes and local area
- Managing your own caseload with genuine autonomy over how you plan and deliver care
- Backed by a local team and an allied health assistant, so your time goes toward clinical work, not admin
- Using Heidi AI to handle your session notes, with a laptop, iPad and phone provided from day one
- Contributing to how the allied health function is built at Kanda, not just delivering within it
You're the right person if
- You're a qualified physiotherapist who wants to work in the community, not a clinic
- You understand or want to work with veterans and older Australians, and the particular care that comes with it
- You want autonomy, but don't want to figure it out alone
- You'd rather build something with a small team than be one of hundreds in a large department
- You want your work to fit around your life, not the other way around
Why Kanda
Our COO is a physio. Our allied health manager is an OT with over 20 years' experience. That's not a coincidence — clinical leadership sits at the top here, so decisions about how allied health works get made by people who've done the job.
You'll get:
- A small, boutique team inside an established national organisation
- Genuine autonomy, with local leadership who understand the realities of community-based clinical work
- Family-friendly conditions and real support for work-life balance
- An allied health assistant to take pressure off your caseload
- Laptop, iPad and phone supplied, plus Heidi AI for clinical documentation
- Support for certified professional development
- The chance to shape allied health at Kanda while it's still being built, not join it once the shape is set
If you want to bring your clinical skills to a team that's small enough to have a real say and backed by an organisation with the scale to support you properly, we'd like to hear from you.
