Physiotherapy + hands-on care for elderly residents

Jasper Lodge is a professionally managed nursing home network led by doctors and supported by nurses, physiotherapists and patient care professionals.

We are looking for a Physiotherapist who is comfortable not only providing rehabilitation, but also being involved in the day-to-day care and wellbeing of our elderly residents.

This is a hands-on role. You will work closely with our nurses and care team to help residents move better, recover safely and maintain their independence.

Your Responsibilities

Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation

• Assess residents’ mobility, strength, balance and functional ability
• Develop individualised physiotherapy and rehabilitation programmes
• Provide rehabilitation for residents recovering from surgery, stroke, fractures, neurological conditions and prolonged hospitalisation
• Conduct mobility, strengthening, balance and fall-prevention exercises
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
• Educate residents and care staff on safe transfers, positioning and appropriate exercises
• Maintain proper treatment and progress records

Resident Care & Support

• Assist with residents’ daily care when required
• Assist residents with transfers, walking and mobility
• Provide hands-on assistance with positioning, toileting, feeding or other basic activities of daily living when necessary
• Support nurses and care staff in ensuring residents are safe and comfortable
• Observe residents’ condition and report any changes to the nursing/medical team
• Participate in general resident activities and rehabilitation programmes

Who We’re Looking For

• Diploma or Degree in Physiotherapy
• Registered with the relevant Malaysian professional body
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
• Experience in geriatric, neurological, orthopaedic or post-hospitalisation rehabilitation is an advantage
• Comfortable working hands-on with elderly residents
• Patient, caring and respectful towards elderly people
• Willing to assist with basic caregiving duties when required
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Responsible and willing to learn

Pay: From RM2,200.00 per month
