Physiotherapist

About the role

This is a Physiotherapy role focused on patient assessment, treatment planning, and rehabilitation. You will provide therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and functional rehabilitation to patients with various medical, surgical, musculoskeletal, and neurological conditions. You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team to support patients' recovery and independence.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patients' physical condition, mobility, strength and functional limitations
• Perform appropriate physiotherapy assessments and clinical examinations
• Develop individualized physiotherapy treatment plans based on patients' conditions
• Provide therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and functional rehabilitation
• Assist patients with transfers, ambulation, and safe mobility
• Monitor patients' progress throughout the rehabilitation process
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises and mobility techniques
• Collaborate with doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date physiotherapy records
• Assist in planning patients' safe discharge and continuity of care

About you

• Diploma or Degree in Physiotherapy / Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation from a recognized institution
• Registered with the relevant Malaysian regulatory body, where applicable
• Valid Annual Practising Certificate (APC) / practising registration, where applicable
• Relevant clinical experience in a hospital, rehabilitation centre or healthcare setting
• Experience in managing patients with various medical, surgical, musculoskeletal, and neurological conditions
• Good knowledge of physiotherapy assessment, treatment and rehabilitation techniques
• Knowledge of patient safety, infection control and hospital procedures
• Strong clinical assessment, problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
