The team combines deep expertise in physiotherapy with a compassionate, patient-centered approach. Role Description:

 This is a fixed-term 6-month contract (with the possibility of a permanent role), on-site Physiotherapist role based in Cape Town. The Physiotherapist will assess patients’ physical capabilities, develop individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans, and deliver evidence-based interventions such as therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and mobility training. Daily tasks include monitoring patient progress, updating clinical documentation, collaborating with multidisciplinary team members, and educating patients and families on home programs and prevention strategies. The role also involves contributing to treatment planning within the sub-acute setting and supporting a safe, respectful, and inclusive care environment.

Qualifications

• Licensed or eligible for registration as a Physiotherapist with the relevant professional body, with a recognized degree in Physiotherapy.
• Experience in sub-acute, rehabilitation, or similar clinical settings, with strong skills in assessment, treatment planning, and functional rehabilitation.
• Proficiency in therapeutic exercise prescription, manual therapy techniques, mobility training, and pain management.
• Strong clinical reasoning, documentation, and time-management skills, with attention to accuracy and patient safety.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to educate patients, families, and colleagues clearly and empathetically.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and to adapt to diverse patient needs and backgrounds.
• Commitment to patient-centered care, ethical practice, and ongoing professional development.
• CPR/Basic Life Support certification and experience with electronic health records are advantageous.
