PHYSIOTHERAPIST

A. Patient Assessment and Treatment

1. Conduct comprehensive physiotherapy assessments, including physical function, mobility, muscle strength, posture, balance and range of motion.
2. Develop individualised treatment plans based on patients’ clinical conditions, needs and treatment goals.
3. Provide physiotherapy interventions, therapeutic exercises and rehabilitation programmes within the practitioner’s scope of practice.
4. Monitor patients’ progress and modify treatment plans according to their response and clinical needs.
5. Educate patients on appropriate exercises, posture correction, injury prevention and self-management techniques.
6. Provide guidance on home exercise programmes to support recovery and continuity of care.

B. Clinical Documentation

1. Maintain accurate and complete patient assessment records, treatment notes and progress reports.
2. Document treatment outcomes and communicate relevant findings to the referring doctor or supervising clinician.
3. Ensure proper handling, confidentiality and security of patient information.

C. Clinical Safety and Equipment Management

1. Ensure physiotherapy equipment and treatment areas are clean, safe and properly maintained.
2. Comply with infection prevention and control procedures, patient safety policies and clinical protocols.
3. Report equipment defects, clinical incidents and potential safety hazards to the appropriate supervisor.

D. Teamwork and Professional Development

1. Collaborate with doctors and other healthcare professionals to support coordinated patient care.
2. Participate in departmental meetings, training sessions and quality improvement activities as assigned.
3. Maintain professional competency and comply with applicable laws, registration requirements and ethical standards.
