Responsibilities

• Assist physiotherapists with patient assessments, treatments, and therapy sessions by preparing equipment and setting up treatment areas
• Support patients during therapy exercises, ensuring proper technique and safety protocols are followed
• Monitor patient progress and report observations to the physiotherapy team to help tailor ongoing treatment plans
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of therapy spaces, equipment, and supplies to uphold high standards of hygiene and safety
• Document patient interactions, treatment details, and progress notes accurately in medical records
• Communicate effectively with patients to provide encouragement, education on exercises, and answer basic questions about their care
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient schedules and ensure timely delivery of services

Skills

• Previous hospital experience or exposure to acute care settings is highly desirable
• Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to physiotherapy practices
• Proven ability to deliver compassionate patient care with a positive attitude
• Excellent communication skills for interacting effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
