Pianist/Organist

JOB SUMMARY

Community Presbyterian Church is seeking a gifted and dedicated Pianist/Organist to provide piano accompaniment for Sunday worship services and special occasions. This role supports meaningful, Christ-centered worship through skilled musical accompaniment in either/or both traditional and contemporary styles.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide piano accompaniment for Sunday worship services in either/or both traditional and contemporary styles
• Accompany special music during the Easter and Advent seasons, including Christmas Eve Services
• Accompany vocalists and instrumentalists as needed for worship services
• Arrange substitute pianist coverage when unavailable and provide accompaniment for weddings and funerals when available
• Collaborate with the Pastor and Worship Coordinator on music selections for worship

Estimated hours: Sunday mornings and occasional rehearsals as needed – approximately 3–5 hours/week

QUALIFICATIONS

• Mature Christian faith and appreciation for Presbyterian/Reformed worship
• Skilled pianist capable of accompanying both traditional and contemporary worship music
• Ability to sight-read and work collaboratively with worship leadership
• Calling to music ministry and a love for serving others through music

Compensation commensurate with experience level / Federal Holidays Observed

Background Check and Child Protection Policy Training Required

Pay: $46,000.00 per year
