Responsibilities

• Design and implement comprehensive piano curricula tailored to diverse skill levels and age groups
• Conduct engaging individual and group lessons that incorporate technical skills, musical expression, and performance techniques
• Manage classroom dynamics effectively, ensuring a supportive environment that encourages participation and creativity
• Develop innovative teaching strategies that integrate visual arts, choreography, dance instruction, and theater elements when appropriate
• Assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and setting achievable goals for improvement
• Organize recitals, performances, or showcases to celebrate student achievements and build confidence
• Collaborate with parents, guardians, or program coordinators to support student development and address individual needs

Requirements

• Proven experience teaching music, particularly piano performance, with a strong background in curriculum development and classroom management
• Experience working with children and youth programs, including preschool-age children and early childhood development principles
• Knowledge of visual & performing arts education, including choreography, dance instruction (such as ballet or dancing), theater experience, and creative arts instruction
• Ability to teach instrumental performance while fostering creativity through arts integration such as photography or sewing projects when relevant
• Strong skills in behavior management and childhood development to create a positive learning atmosphere
• Familiarity with teaching arts in diverse settings—classroom experience is essential—along with experience in adult education preferred
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with students of varying ages and backgrounds
