Duties

• Conduct one-on-one or group piano lessons tailored to each student’s skill level, interests, and goals
• Develop customized lesson plans that incorporate foundational techniques, music theory, sight-reading, and performance skills
• Foster a positive learning environment that encourages creativity, discipline, and enjoyment of music
• Track student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to motivate improvement
• Prepare students for recitals, exams, or performances to showcase their growth and achievements
• Maintain a safe and organized teaching space that supports effective learning experiences
• Collaborate with parents or guardians to discuss student development, address questions, and set future objectives

Skills

• Proven experience in tutoring or teaching piano to students of various ages and skill levels
• Strong background in early childhood education and working with children in educational settings
• Excellent communication skills to clearly explain musical concepts and techniques
• Ability to create engaging lesson plans that cater to individual learning styles
• Knowledge of classroom management strategies to maintain focus and discipline during lessons
• Experience integrating music theory, sight-reading, ear training, and performance preparation into lessons
• Additional skills such as cooking or classroom experience are a plus but not required; enthusiasm for fostering a holistic educational environment is valued

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
