What they need
We are looking for a PIC Design Engineer to work for an exciting Italian team with a mission to design, simulate, and optimise photonic integrated circuits for advanced applications.
Skill Set Requirements
- Experience in PIC design and simulation (e.g., Lumerical, IPKISS, KLayout, OptoDesigner)
- Strong understanding of waveguides, modulators, detectors, and passive components
- Layout design and design-for-manufacturing (DFM) knowledge
- Familiarity with silicon photonics platforms and PDKs
- Ability to analyze optical performance and tolerances
- Programming skills (Python/Matlab) are a plus
