Duties

• Use RF scanners and other materials handling equipment such as pallet jacks, clamp trucks, forklifts, and cranes to efficiently pick and pack orders.
• Accurately locate items in the warehouse using inventory management systems and ensure correct order fulfillment through precise order picking.
• Load and unload shipments safely using heavy equipment like forklifts, clamp trucks, or cranes, adhering strictly to safety protocols outlined by OSHA standards.
• Organize products on pallets or shelves, ensuring proper stacking and manual handling techniques to prevent damage or injury during material handling.
• Prepare orders for shipping by packing items securely, labeling packages clearly, and verifying order accuracy with basic math skills.
• Assist with shipping and receiving processes, including inspecting incoming goods, documenting discrepancies, and maintaining inventory records.
• Follow safety procedures diligently during all warehouse activities to promote a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.

Experience

• Prior experience in warehouse distribution or logistics is highly desirable; familiarity with warehouse operations will be advantageous.
• Hands-on experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, clamp trucks, or cranes is preferred.
• Knowledge of inventory management systems and RF scanners will help streamline order picking and stock control processes.
• Demonstrated ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while lifting heavy loads is essential.
• Basic math skills are necessary for counting items, verifying quantities, and ensuring accurate order fulfillment.
• Previous supervisory experience in a warehouse setting is a plus but not required; a proactive attitude toward safety and efficiency is essential for success in this role.
