Picking Associate

The Picking Associate is responsible for accurately selecting and preparing customer and production orders in a timely and efficient manner. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the correct parts and quantities are picked, verified, and staged for the next step in the warehouse process. The Picking Associate will work closely with the shipping, receiving, and inventory teams to support daily operations and maintain a high level of accuracy.

Job Responsibilities:

• Accurately pick customer and production orders according to pick tickets and system instructions.
• Verify part numbers, descriptions, and quantities before completing each pick.
• Pull bins as needed and check labels carefully to ensure the correct part is selected.
• Stage completed orders in the proper location for packing, shipping, or production.
• Report inventory shortages, damaged items, or location discrepancies to a supervisor.
• Maintain organized shelves, bins, carts, and picking areas throughout the shift.
• Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Communicate with team members and supervisors to resolve picking or inventory issues.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Warehouse, order picking, or inventory experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive tasks.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use scanners or warehouse systems.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Forklift or pallet jack experience a plus.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
