Picnic Manager

Seasonal Position: March 2027–Mid-September 2027

The Tulsa Drillers are seeking a dependable, organized Picnic Manager to oversee picnic buffet operations at ONEOK Field during Drillers games and special events. This seasonal position runs from March 2027 through mid-September 2027.

This hands-on role is responsible for preparing cold menu items, coordinating hot food pickup from the main kitchen, and managing buffet setup, service, cleanup, and teardown.

The ideal candidate takes pride in presentation, keeps service running smoothly, and helps every group enjoy a welcoming, well-organized dining experience.

Responsibilities

Review event menus, guest counts, and service times to plan preparation and setup.

Coordinate with the main kitchen to receive hot food and have it ready for scheduled buffet service.
Gather ingredients and supplies for cold menu items and complete the required preparation.
Set up buffets with serving equipment, utensils, plates, condiments, and menu items.
Run buffet service, replenish food promptly, and keep displays clean, organized, and attractive.
Monitor food temperatures and follow food safety, sanitation, and safe handling procedures.
Direct picnic service staff and communicate assignments and service expectations.
Assist guests professionally and address service needs promptly.
Complete buffet teardown, properly store remaining food, clean and return equipment, and leave the picnic area ready for the next event.
Monitor supplies and communicate shortages or equipment issues to Food & Beverage management.

Qualifications

Food service, catering, or buffet experience preferred.

Strong organization, communication, and customer service skills.
Ability to lead a team while actively assisting with preparation and service.
Ability to work efficiently in a busy outdoor event environment.
Availability to work Drillers games and special events from March through mid-September 2027, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and safely move food, supplies, and buffet equipment.
Willingness to obtain any required food handler certification.
