About Palm 11

Palm 11 Wellness is a calm, down-to-earth wellness studio in Stoke Newington, offering movement, massage and mindful wellbeing in a warm, boutique setting.

We are urgently looking for a freelance Mat Pilates Instructor to join our small Palm 11 team. We need someone reliable, professional and friendly who can deliver safe, supportive and high-quality Pilates sessions while upholding our values of care, calm energy, inclusivity and client-first service.

Our studio is intentionally small, creating a more personal experience where clients feel seen, supported and comfortable.

Role Overview

We are looking for a confident and qualified Mat Pilates Instructor to lead small-group Pilates sessions at Palm 11 Wellness.

The ideal instructor will be able to create sessions that feel professional, welcoming and accessible for a range of abilities, including beginners. Sessions should be structured, safe and engaging, with clear guidance and modifications where needed.

This is a freelance role, ideal for someone looking to build regular hours with an existing following/ clientele within a calm wellness studio.

Responsibilities

Deliver safe and well-structured Mat Pilates sessions.

Create a calm, welcoming and supportive experience for clients.

Offer modifications for beginners, different ability levels and varying confidence levels.

Guide clients with clear verbal cues, alignment support and safe movement instruction.

Arrive on time and prepare the studio before each session.

Keep the studio clean, tidy and reset after use.

Communicate professionally with the Palm 11 team.

Uphold Palm 11’s values, standards and client experience.

Essential Requirements

Qualified Mat Pilates Instructor.

Valid public liability and professional insurance.

Friendly, calm and professional energy.

Confident leading small-group sessions.

Reliable, punctual and well-presented.

Able to support beginners and mixed abilities.

Strong communication skills.

Availability for at least one regular weekly session.

Preferred

Experience teaching in a boutique studio or wellness setting.

Availability for evenings, weekends or weekday mornings.

Ability to teach beginner-friendly Pilates.

Interest in wellness, movement and community-focused spaces.

First Aid certificate desirable.
