Job Description: Pilot Plant Operator (Reactor Operator)

Employment Type: Contractual / Company Payroll (as per candidate documents)

Job Responsibilities

• Reactor Operation: Operate glass-lined and stainless-steel reactors as per approved Batch Manufacturing Records (BMRs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Process Monitoring: Monitor reaction temperature, pressure, stirring speed, reaction time, and pH, as applicable.
• Process Operations: Perform heating, cooling, stirring, solvent charging, and distillation as per approved batch instructions.
• Material Charging: Handle and charge raw materials, solvents, and process chemicals according to manufacturing instructions and safety procedures.
• Equipment Cleaning: Clean reactors and associated equipment as per established cleaning procedures to prevent cross-contamination.
• Equipment Inspection: Check reactors, valves, pipelines, agitators, and associated equipment for proper functioning.
• Documentation: Maintain batch manufacturing records, equipment cleaning records, and process activity logs.
• Safety and Compliance: Follow plant safety procedures, SOPs, GMP requirements, and chemical handling guidelines.

Required Experience and Skills

• Hands-on experience in reactor operation within an API pharmaceutical pilot plant or chemical manufacturing industry.
• Practical knowledge of glass-lined and stainless-steel reactors.
• Understanding of batch processing, solvent handling, distillation, and process parameter monitoring.
• Knowledge of equipment cleaning, chemical safety, and GMP documentation.
