Duties

• Excavate trenches using heavy equipment such as dozers, excavators, loaders, and backhoes to prepare for pipe installation
• Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate pipe placement and system layout
• Install underground utilities including sanitary sewers, water supply systems, stormwater systems, and other utility pipelines following blueprint specifications
• Operate precision tools like pipe lasers to ensure proper alignment and elevation of piping systems
• Conduct utility locating to identify existing underground utilities before excavation to prevent damage or hazards
• Perform concrete forming and finishing around pipe installations as needed for structural integrity
• Follow all safety regulations including federal construction safety standards and safety protocol adherence during all phases of work

Experience

• Proven experience in construction site work with a focus on underground utility installation or pipeline projects
• Skilled in heavy equipment operation such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and front loader trucks
• Familiarity with blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, and construction plans
• Knowledge of wastewater systems, sanitary drainage systems, sewer line installation, and underground utilities installation
• Ability to operate specialized tools including pipe lasers and hand tools for precise installation tasks
• Understanding of safety regulations related to federal construction standards and site-specific safety protocols
• Experience working with concrete forming and finishing techniques related to pipeline projects

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 55.0 per week
