Responsibilities

• Lay underground pipes using heavy equipment such as excavators, backhoes, and bucket trucks to ensure precise placement according to project specifications
• Use hand tools and power tools to prepare pipe trenches, cut pipes, and perform adjustments as needed
• Rigging and lifting heavy pipe sections or equipment with appropriate safety procedures
• Conduct inspections of installed piping systems for proper alignment, integrity, and safety compliance
• Follow safety protocols diligently while working around heavy equipment and in potentially hazardous environments
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues during installation or repair processes

Qualifications

• Mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various types of heavy equipment such as excavators, backhoes, bucket trucks, and rigging gear
• Experience with excavator operation and bucket handling for trenching or pipe placement projects
• Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in pipe laying and maintenance tasks
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining safety standards
• Strong communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately

Pay: $24.85-$42.70 per hour
