Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Pipe Layer / Laborer to join our construction team. In this role, you will be instrumental in installing, repairing, and maintaining underground utility systems, including sanitary sewers, stormwater systems, water supply lines, and wastewater infrastructure. Your hands-on skills and knowledge of construction safety regulations will ensure projects are completed efficiently, accurately, and safely. Duties

• Assist in the installation of underground utilities such as sewer lines, water supply systems, and stormwater drainage using heavy equipment like dozers, loaders, backhoes, and excavators.
• Operate front loader trucks and other machinery to move materials and prepare construction sites for pipe installation.
• Follow blueprint specifications and technical drawings to ensure precise placement of pipes and utility components.
• Use utility locating tools to identify existing underground utilities before excavation begins, ensuring safety and compliance with federal construction safety regulations.
• Perform construction trenching according to safety protocols and project plans, maintaining proper shoring and safety measures throughout the process.
• Conduct pipe laser alignment and welding to secure pipe joints accurately during installation.
• Complete concrete finishing tasks around utility installations as needed, ensuring durable and professional results.
• Adhere strictly to safety regulations and construction site protocols to maintain a safe working environment for all team members.

Requirements

• Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and front loader trucks in a construction setting.
• Knowledge of utility trenching, pipe installation techniques, and underground utilities installation processes.
• Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans with precision.
• Familiarity with wastewater systems, sanitary drainage systems, sewer line installation, and stormwater infrastructure projects.
• Skilled in the use of hand tools and construction equipment necessary for pipe laying activities.
• Understanding of federal construction safety regulations and adherence to safety protocol standards at all times.
• Experience interpreting technical drawings related to pipeline projects and underground utilities.
• Strong background in construction site experience with a focus on pipeline or utility system installation projects.
• Ability to work efficiently in team environments while following detailed instructions for complex tasks such as utility system installation projects involving sewer lines or water supply systems.
