About the role
Engineering Applications is seeking a skilled Pipe Welder - Workshop to join our team on a casual basis to start, permanent for the right person. Based in our Hemmant Workshop, this role offers the opportunity to work with a reputable engineering company. As a Pipe Welder, you will be responsible for performing high-quality welding operations in our workshop environment, utilising your expertise to fabricate and assemble pipe components to stringent specifications and industry standards.

What you'll be doing

• TIG and GMAW/FCAW Stick welding of carbon steel and stainless-steel pipe
• Fabricating and welding pipe spools, pressure pipe and process piping to required standards
• Some fabricating and welding of structural members and plate work
• Reading and interpreting isometric drawings, fabrication drawings and engineering specifications
• Working alongside pipefitters, boilermakers and workshop supervisors to deliver quality fabrication outcomes
• Maintaining high welding standards and attention to detail
• Contributing to a safe, organised and productive workshop environment

What we're looking for

• Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade or equivalent
• Proven experience welding industrial pipework
• Ability to read and interpret isometric drawings and engineering specifications
• Experience fabricating pressure pipe and process piping highly regarded
• Reliable, safety-focused and team-oriented
• Pride in producing high-quality welds and workmanship
