Pipefitter

Owen Daniels are currently recruiting for experienced Pipefitters to work on the Hinkley Point C nuclear project in Somerset.

Initially you will be required in Scotland for 8 weeks whilst your onboarding is completed for HPC, then you will be redeployed down to Hinkley Point.

This is an excellent opportunity to secure long-term work on one of the UK's largest infrastructure projects , with ongoing requirements for skilled trades as the project continues to progress.

The Role

• Installation and fitting of pipework systems
• Working from engineering drawings and specifications
• Measuring, cutting, preparing and assembling pipework
• Installation of associated supports, valves and components
• Working to strict quality and safety standards
• Working as part of a wider mechanical installation team
• Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with site procedures

Requirements

• Level 3 NVQ in a relevant Pipefitting/Mechanical discipline
• CCNSG Safety Passport
• Security Clearance
• Previous industrial pipefitting experience
• Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
• Experience working within highly regulated environments would be advantageous
• Previous experience at Hinkley Point C would be beneficial but isn't essential

Scotland Rates (8 weeks)

• Basic - £23.25 ph
• OT1 - £32.55 ph
• OT2 - £41.84 ph
• Bonus: £2.37 ph
• 10 days on / 4 days off

Hinkley Point

• Basic: £29.34 ph
• OT1: £41.08 ph – hours over 38 (Mon–Fri) & first 4 hours Saturday
• OT2: £52.82 ph – remaining Saturday hours & all Sunday hours
• Bonus: £2.94 ph
• 10.5 hour shifts
• Rotation: 10/4 shift rotation
• Accommodation allowance: £355.67 per week

This is a long-term opportunity at Hinkley Point C with significant volumes of work expected across the project.
