Job Title: Pipeline Engineer

Region: Singapore

Main Purpose:

- To execute in-house pipeline engineering design and technical support for TIPL tendering activities and ongoing project execution across multiple pipeline, trenchless, onshore, and offshore projects.

- To prepare engineering deliverables, CAD drawings, method statements, calculations, technical submissions, tender documentation, project documentation, and quality-control records required for bidding, planning, execution, and client approval.

- To act as the point of contact for project quality control matters, coordinating quality-related documentation, records, inspections, and follow-up actions with project teams, clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Type of Employment:

- Permanent full-time position with Thaitan International Pte Ltd. (TIPL).

- Role to support all relevant TIPL projects under tendering, planning, engineering, execution, and handover stages.

• Work location will be primarily based in Singapore. The employee will be allocated to project sites during the project execution stage according to project requirements.

Job Summary:

The Pipeline Engineer is a permanent TIPL engineering role responsible for supporting tendering, in-house design, technical documentation, and construction engineering coordination for HDD, Direct Pipe, and pipe jacking projects. The role covers pipeline alignment review, trenchless construction design support, CAD drafting coordination, method statement and calculation preparation, tender and project documentation, technical submissions, quality control support, and coordination with project, site, subcontractor, consultant, supplier, and tender teams.

Duty and Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to)

-          Engineering Design: Execute in-house engineering design for HDD, Direct Pipe, and pipe jacking works, including pipeline alignment, construction methodology, interface details, and constructability review.

-          CAD and Drawings: Prepare, review, and update CAD drawings, pipeline layouts, profiles, sections, construction sketches, as-built drawings, and technical mark-ups.

-          Project Documentation: Prepare method statements, work procedures, technical submissions, material submissions, construction records, inspection checklists, and handover documentation.

-          Quality Control: Implement QA/QC by checking engineering deliverables, drawings, material records, inspection records, and site works against approved specifications, drawings, ITPs, and project quality procedures.

-          Site Engineering Support: Provide technical support during HDD, Direct Pipe, pipe jacking, pipe handling, alignment checking, reinstatement, and interface works.

-          Coordination: Coordinate with project management, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and construction teams to resolve technical issues and close comments.

Prerequisites/Qualifications:

-          Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Ocean Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or other relevant engineering discipline.

-          Minimum 5 years of relevant pipeline engineering experience in onshore or offshore pipeline projects.

-          Practical experience with HDD, Direct Pipe, and pipe jacking works is required.

-          Good working knowledge of CAD tools for pipeline drawings, profiles, construction sketches, and as-built documentation.

-          Able to prepare clear engineering reports, method statements, technical submissions, quality records, and project documentation in English; bilingual English/Chinese capability is preferred for Taiwan site coordination.

-          Able for short tor medium term travel oversea.
