What they need

Company Description

Join the Firstgas team and enjoy a career full of good energy and great rewards.

He aha koe ka aroha ai ki a Clarus (Why you'll love Clarus)

At Clarus you’re part of the team of talented specialists helping safely deliver the vital energy New Zealand needs to thrive today and in the future. From starting out in Taranaki our Firstgas, Rockgas, First Renewables, Flexgas and Gas Service NZ operations now span the length and breadth of Aotearoa — so you’re never far away from our good energy. Clarus is investing in opportunities to develop alternatives to natural gas and LPG - like partnering with Ecogas to deliver New Zealand’s first renewable biomethane project, and working with other gas distributors to trial hydrogen blending.  We care about the communities where we live and work and are guided by principles of inclusiveness, kaitiakitanga and excellence.

Job Description

He mea whakamiharo koe Coordinator? (Are you an amazing Coordinator?)

We’re looking for a talented Pipeline Safety Coordinator to help us keep the  good energy flowing as part of our Land and Planning team in Bell Block.  This is a part-time position (32 hours / week).

This is an interesting and varied role where your work will help protect people, communities and essential pipeline infrastructure. You’ll provide practical support to landholders, contractors, external stakeholders and teams across Clarus, helping them access accurate pipeline location information and safely plan work around our networks.

A key part of the role will be maintaining accurate landholder and stakeholder information, coordinating pipeline location and permit requests, processing BeforeUDig enquiries, and supporting close approach consent requirements. You’ll work closely with our field technicians and other teams to make sure requests are handled accurately, safely and within required timeframes.

Qualifications

He aha tāu e kawe mai (What you will bring)

You’ll be someone who enjoys bringing order to busy workflows, communicating with a wide range of people and making sure important details do not fall through the cracks. Ideally you'll have:

  • Strong administration, coordination or customer service experience
  • Confidence working with databases and maintaining accurate records
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
  • Clear, friendly and professional communication skills
  • The ability to organise competing priorities and respond calmly under pressure
  • A practical approach to problem-solving and following established processes
  • A strong commitment to safety, accuracy and doing the right thing

Additional Information

Ngā āhuatanga kei a mātou (What’s In It For You)

You’ll be valued for who you are, rewarded for what you do and supported to thrive. We’ll sweeten your (already nicely competitive) salary with a host of extra benefits including additional leave entitlements, flexible working arrangements and free insurances and health checks. We’ll fuel your professional development, keep you at the top of your game and help you build the career you want. Our award-winning wellness programme recognises you’re more than the job you do and supports you with initiatives like an annual wellness grant and access to professional wellbeing services for you and your whānau. You’ll get to work in a safe, healthy environment, supported by great people who want to see you succeed.
