PIPING MATERIAL ENGINEERING

Provide engineering support for piping materials, including the development of piping classes, technical specifications, material requisitions, technical bid evaluations, and vendor documentation review throughout the project lifecycle.

• Develop Piping Material Classes in accordance with international standards (ASME, ASTM, API, MSS, NACE, IOGP).
• Prepare Technical Specifications for piping materials and components.
• Issue Material Requisitions (MR) for pipes, fittings, valves, and special items.
• Perform Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE) and support supplier technical selection.
• Prepare and validate Valve Datasheets.
• Review vendor documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Manage technical deviations, TQs, NCRs, and coordinate with other engineering disciplines.
• Participate in FEED, Basic Engineering, and Detailed Engineering phases.
• Assess corrosion and sour service requirements (NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156).
• Ensure alignment with internal engineering, procurement, QA/QC, and piping teams

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of ASME B31.3 / B31.1, ASTM, API, MSS, BS, NACE standards.
• Proven experience in piping materials engineering on industrial projects (onshore, offshore, refinery, CCUS, power).
• Familiarity with procurement workflows: MR, TBE, vendor follow-up.
• Ability to evaluate corrosive environments and select appropriate materials.
• Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or Piping Engineering.
• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in Piping Material Engineering.
• Proficiency in technical English.
• Strong autonomy, attention to detail, and ability to coordinate with multiple disciplines.
