Pizza Baking Associate

Job Summary

Northeast Pizza is hiring a Pizza Baking Associate to support daily pizza preparation and baking operations. This role prepares pizzas, operates commercial ovens, monitors cooking quality, maintains clean workstations, and supports the kitchen team during busy service periods.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare pizza dough, sauces, toppings, and other ingredients
• Assemble pizzas according to recipes and established quality standards
• Operate commercial pizza ovens safely and efficiently
• Monitor cooking times, temperatures, appearance, and food quality
• Prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently
• Portion ingredients consistently to maintain product quality
• Monitor ingredient freshness and proper food storage
• Restock ingredients, packaging, and kitchen supplies
• Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary preparation and baking areas
• Wash and sanitize utensils, equipment, and food preparation surfaces
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures
• Assist with opening, closing, and general kitchen duties

Requirements

• Previous pizza, baking, restaurant, food service, or kitchen experience is an asset but not required
• Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and food safety procedures
• Strong attention to detail and food quality
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads

Preferred Skills

• Experience preparing and baking pizzas in a commercial kitchen
• Familiarity with commercial pizza ovens and kitchen equipment
• Knowledge of food preparation and sanitation practices
• Strong organization and time management skills
• Ability to multitask during busy service periods
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
