Pizza Baking Associate

Job Summary
Nicky's Pizza is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented, and team-focused Pizza Baking Associate to support daily pizza production and kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will prepare dough and toppings, assemble pizzas, operate baking equipment, monitor cooking times, and maintain a clean and organized kitchen while consistently following food quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare pizza dough, sauces, toppings, and other ingredients according to established recipes.
• Portion and organize ingredients for efficient pizza production.
• Assemble pizzas accurately according to customer orders and restaurant standards.
• Operate pizza ovens and other kitchen equipment safely and effectively.
• Monitor oven temperatures and cooking times to ensure consistent results.
• Inspect finished pizzas for proper appearance, doneness, and quality.
• Coordinate with front-of-house staff to prioritize and complete orders on time.
• Package pizzas and other menu items accurately for dine-in, pickup, and takeaway orders.
• Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and food preparation areas.
• Restock ingredients, packaging materials, and kitchen supplies as needed.
• Rotate and properly store ingredients according to food safety procedures.
• Follow established food handling, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
• Assist with kitchen opening, closing, and cleaning duties.
• Communicate ingredient shortages, equipment concerns, or production issues to management.
• Support other kitchen team members during busy service periods.

Qualifications

• Previous pizza, bakery, restaurant, or commercial kitchen experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of food preparation and kitchen procedures.
• Familiarity with pizza ovens and baking equipment is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and food quality.
• Ability to follow recipes, measurements, and preparation instructions.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Strong awareness of cleanliness and food safety practices.
• Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
• Comfortable standing and moving for extended periods during shifts.
• Ability to safely handle hot food, baking equipment, and kitchen tools.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
