What they need
- High school diploma, culinary certificate, or vocational training in Culinary Arts, Food Preparation, or related field.
- At least 1–2 years of experience as a Pizza Chef, Pizza Maker, Line Cook, or similar position.
- Knowledgeable in pizza dough preparation, fermentation, stretching, shaping, and baking techniques.
- Skilled in preparing different types of pizza, sauces, toppings, and garnishes according to established recipes.
- Familiar with operating pizza ovens, including gas, electric, and wood-fired ovens.
- Knowledge of proper food safety, sanitation, hygiene, and kitchen safety procedures.
- Able to maintain consistent food quality, portion control, and presentation.
- Capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while meeting service deadlines.
- Good knowledge of ingredient storage, FIFO procedures, and inventory control.
- Physically fit and able to stand for long periods and handle kitchen equipment safely.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and time-management skills.
- Willing to work on shifting schedules, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Experience in a hotel, Italian restaurant, or high-volume pizza kitchen is an advantage.
