The Role

As Pizza Chef, you will be responsible for producing authentic Italian-style pizzas to an exceptional standard. This specialist role requires strong technical knowledge of dough preparation, fermentation processes, hand stretching techniques, and pizza oven operation.

Working closely with the Executive Sous Chef and wider kitchen team, you will oversee all aspects of pizza production, from preparing and managing dough through to cooking and presentation during service. You will take pride in maintaining consistency, quality and efficiency while contributing to a positive and collaborative kitchen culture.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Pizza Chef who is passionate about traditional Neapolitan and Italian-style pizza making and enjoys working in a fast-paced, high-quality hospitality environment.

Success Profile

• Minimum three years' experience as a Pizza Chef or in a similar specialist role.
• Strong understanding of dough preparation, fermentation techniques and dough management.
• Proven experience hand stretching pizza dough and producing consistently high-quality pizzas.
• Extensive knowledge of Neapolitan and/or traditional Italian-style pizza.
• Experience operating pizza ovens in a busy commercial kitchen environment.
• Excellent communication, organisation and time management skills.
• Strong commitment to teamwork and maintaining high kitchen standards.
• Passion for quality ingredients and authentic cooking techniques.
• Ability to remain calm and productive during busy service periods.
• Availability to work weekends, evenings, public holidays and rostered shifts.
• Driver Licence is preferable owing to Arrowtown location and shift patterns. You must be able to make your own way to and from work.

Location:  Arrowtown, Queenstown

Hours:  Permanent, full time guaranteed 30 hours per week

Pay Rate: $30.00 – $35.00 gross per hour depending on experience
