Pizza Chef

Gang Gang Cafe & Bar is looking for an experienced Pizza Chef to join our kitchen team in a predominantly evening-based role.

We’re a busy venue producing approximately 250 pizzas from Wednesday to Sunday, with particularly high volumes on weekends. Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen is highly regarded.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the pizza section during service
• Prepare, stretch, top and cook pizzas consistently and efficiently
• Complete daily prep and maintain appropriate stock levels
• Monitor product quality, portion control and presentation
• Keep the section clean, organised and ready for service
• Assist with ordering, stock rotation and minimising wastage
• Follow all food safety and kitchen procedures
• Communicate effectively with the wider kitchen and front-of-house teams
• Help train and support junior kitchen staff where required

What we’re looking for

• Previous experience as a Pizza Chef or in a similar high-volume kitchen role
• Strong organisation and section-management skills
• The ability to remain calm and consistent during busy services
• A reliable, positive and team-focused attitude
• Weekend availability is essential

This is a full-time position offering predominantly evening shifts, with service finishing no later than 10pm.

Pay: $70,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
