Pizza Chef

Pay: £14.50 per hour plus a share of Gratuity

Hours: 25-40 per week depending of events schedule

Weekend availability essential

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced pizza chef to join the Proof Pizza arm of our bakery, working from our beautiful new food truck at the Tap Social Taproom.

Desired experience: minimum one year in a restaurant and pizza experience, and a clean UK driving license

Main responsibilities and required skills:

Taking orders and interacting with our lovely customers

Hand stretching and shaping sourdough pizza bases, topping them, and cooking them in our Gozney pizza ovens

Taking part in all aspects of running and maintaining the Proof Pizza food truck

responsible for food hygiene and health and safety when on site

Training of junior team members to be able to produce high quality products

Providing excellent customer service, taking orders, and liaising with customers

Holding a valid UK driver’s license and being comfortable driving the food truck to different locations

Ordering and stock rotation of all ingredients (dough from Proof Bakehouse, pizza toppings, gas canisters, etc.)

Working as part of a team, learning and sharing skills and assisting in developing a positive and exciting environment for the team to work and develop in

Level 2 Food Hygiene and first aid qualifications ideal (though will be offered if not already qualified)
