Pizza Cook

Position Description:

Enjoy our housemade pasta, craveable classics, fresh salads and sandwiches, 800° brick-oven pizzas, and our beloved Mia’s Family-Style Dining.

We’re looking for an experienced Pizza Cook who knows how to execute scratch-made pizza in a fast-paced, full-service, high-volume restaurant. You’ll own the pizza station from dough to oven, delivering consistent, high-quality product while keeping pace with a demanding service.

Position Responsibilities:

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Execute scratch-made pizzas with speed, consistency, and attention to detail.
• Stretch, shape, top, and bake dough to exact specifications.
• Manage oven temperatures, bake times, and multiple orders during high-volume service.
• Prepare and portion sauces, cheeses, meats, vegetables, and other pizza ingredients.
• Maintain proper food quality, presentation, and portion standards.
• Read tickets accurately and prioritize orders to keep service moving.
• Set up, stock, and maintain a clean, organized pizza station throughout the shift.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and kitchen procedures without compromise.
• Communicate clearly with the kitchen team and work seamlessly during peak volume.
• Monitor product levels and communicate prep or inventory needs before they impact service.
• Jump in where needed to support the kitchen and keep the entire operation moving.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Qualifications -

• 2+ years of pizza cook experience in a scratch-made, full-service, high-volume restaurant.
• Proven experience working a high-volume pizza station during peak service.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays, and other high-volume shifts as business needs require.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs., and safely work around hot equipment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a fast-paced kitchen team.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain consistent attendance during high-volume service periods.
• Proven ability to prioritize, multitask, and maintain composure in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Ability to read and execute tickets accurately while maintaining speed and attention to detail.
• Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, proper food handling, and temperature standards.
• Experience working with high-temperature ovens and managing multiple pizzas simultaneously.
• Demonstrated ability to consistently produce high-quality pizzas to recipe and presentation standards.
• Strong knowledge of scratch dough preparation, stretching, topping, and baking techniques.
