Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Pizza Cook to join our restaurant team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking pizzas and other menu items while maintaining high standards of food quality, cleanliness, and food safety. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in a restaurant or food-service environment and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook pizzas, sauces, toppings, and other menu items according to established recipes and quality standards.
• Prepare dough, portion ingredients, and assemble pizzas accurately and efficiently.
• Operate pizza ovens, mixers, food processors, and other kitchen equipment safely.
• Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure food is properly cooked and meets quality standards.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and hygiene procedures at all times.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, food preparation areas, equipment, and storage areas.
• Check food supplies and ingredients and assist with receiving, storing, and rotating inventory.
• Follow proper food storage and handling procedures to minimize waste and maintain freshness.
• Work closely with other kitchen and restaurant staff to ensure timely and accurate preparation of customer orders.
• Maintain consistent portion sizes, presentation, and product quality.
• Assist with opening and closing kitchen duties, including cleaning and restocking.
• Follow workplace health and safety policies and report any equipment or food safety concerns to management.
• Provide support to other kitchen staff during busy periods as required.

Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Pizza Cook, Cook, or in a similar restaurant food-preparation position.
• Strong knowledge of pizza preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations.
• Experience working with commercial pizza ovens and other kitchen equipment.
• Knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and food safety procedures.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistent food quality.
• Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and portion-control standards.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical kitchen duties.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Previous experience in a pizza restaurant or quick-service restaurant is strongly preferred.

Experience Requirement

Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in pizza preparation, cooking, or restaurant food service is required.

Pay: $17.60-$18.00 per hour
