Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas according to established recipes and menu specifications
• Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and slicing tools safely and efficiently
• Follow food safety sanitizing procedures to maintain a clean and hygienic workspace
• Assist in menu planning by suggesting new pizza recipes and toppings based on customer preferences and seasonal ingredients
• Ensure proper food handling practices are adhered to at all times during food production
• Maintain high-volume production standards while ensuring consistency in quality and presentation
• Support the team with food preparation tasks including braising, poaching, grilling, and other cooking techniques as needed

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments, with specific experience in pizza or similar culinary roles preferred
• Strong knife skills and proficiency in food handling and food safety management
• Knowledge of food industry standards including sanitation, safety protocols, and recipe adherence
• Experience with fine dining or catering environments is a plus but not required
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment efficiently under pressure in high-volume settings
• Familiarity with dietary department procedures and menu planning is advantageous
• Excellent teamwork skills with a focus on maintaining a clean, organized work area
