Pizza Cook

At Foragers Canteen and now Foragers on the Creek, we’ve spent years perfecting the art of world cuisine with a Southern twist. Now, we’re ready to let it rise. We’ve brought our signature passion for fresh, mountain-inspired ingredients to a brand new stage in the heart of Dillsboro: A new pizza venture in our old digs that’s as soulful as the Tuckasegee River called Depot Pizza. We are now looking for a few cooks with a passion for pizza who want to help us build a new local legend from the crust up. If you have a fire for the craft and a love for our community, we have a spot by the oven with your name on it.

This position will be an hourly paid job with an additional opportunity to make more through a tip pool system.

We are looking for individuals that have flexibility in their schedule to train with our evening team for an eventual hybrid position utilized during some day and evening shifts.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas according to established recipes and quality standards
• Assist in menu planning to ensure a diverse and appealing selection of pizza options
• Handle food preparation tasks including dough stretching, topping assembly, and ingredient portioning
• Maintain strict food safety and sanitation standards throughout all kitchen activities
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, and knives
• Support the team with food handling, meal preparation, and catering services as needed
• Ensure timely service by coordinating with front-of-house staff to deliver hot, fresh pizzas to guests

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
