Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Pizza Chef and Cashier to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and customer service, excellent knife skills, and experience in the food industry, particularly in pizza making and kitchen operations. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where culinary skills are valued and developed. The position is paid and suitable for individuals with a background in food service, restaurant experience, or culinary arts. Responsibilities include crafting menu items, managing transactions, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Pizza Chef Duties

• Prepare and cook authentic pizzas according to established recipes and quality standards
• Assist in menu planning to ensure variety and customer satisfaction
• Handle food safely and maintain proper sanitation standards in all kitchen activities
• Manage food preparation tasks including slicing, dicing, and assembling ingredients
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently during meal preparation
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces
• Support catering events or special functions as needed
• Ensure timely delivery of orders while maintaining high-quality standards
• Follow all food handling protocols and safety regulations

Pizza Chef Skills

• Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or culinary roles within the food industry
• Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures
• Experience with menu planning and meal preparation in a fast-paced environment
• Background in dietary department work or dietary aide experience is a plus
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining quality standards
• Previous restaurant or fine dining experience is desirable
• Skills in catering, serving, or food service operations are advantageous

Cashier Duties:

• Customer Service: Greet customers, answer phone calls, and take in-person or phone orders with a positive attitude.
• Transaction Handling: Operate the cash register or Point of Sale (POS) system, managing cash, credit, and debit card transactions accurately.
• Order Fulfillment: Ensure orders are accurate and go to the right customer.

General Duties :

• Cleanliness & Safety: Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in all work areas, including workstations, counters, and floors.
• Team Support: Assist other team members during busy rushes and with opening or closing duties as needed.
• Flexibility: Be prepared to jump into other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work quickly and calmly in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic cooking knowledge and the ability to follow recipes and directions.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations (certification may be required).
• Reliability and a flexible schedule.
