Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas following established recipes and menu specifications
• Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and slicing tools safely and efficiently
• Ensure all food handling and sanitation procedures meet food safety standards and sanitizing protocols
• Assist with menu planning to create appealing pizza options that cater to diverse dietary needs
• Maintain high-volume production while adhering to recipe consistency and presentation standards
• Support food preparation tasks including dough making, topping assembly, braising, poaching, grilling, and food production processes
• Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies to ensure smooth kitchen operations
• Follow food safety management practices to prevent contamination and ensure quality control

Skills

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially with pizza or similar cuisine
• Strong knowledge of culinary techniques such as braising, poaching, grilling, and food preparation methods
• Excellent knife skills and familiarity with operating various kitchen equipment safely
• Experience with dietary department procedures and meal preparation for diverse dietary restrictions
• Ability to follow recipes precisely and maintain consistency in food quality
• Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures and food handling best practices
• Background in high-volume production environments with an emphasis on efficiency and accuracy
• Experience in catering or fine dining settings is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
