Job Summary
Nice Slice Pizzeria is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and team-oriented Pizza Kitchen Helper to support daily kitchen operations and pizza preparation. The ideal candidate will assist with ingredient preparation, pizza assembly, kitchen organization, cleaning, restocking, and general food service duties while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing pizza dough, sauces, toppings, and other ingredients.
• Wash, cut, portion, and organize vegetables, meats, cheeses, and other food items.
• Prepare and stock ingredients for daily pizza production and service.
• Assist with assembling pizzas and other menu items according to restaurant standards.
• Support pizza cooks and kitchen staff during busy service periods.
• Operate basic kitchen equipment safely after appropriate training.
• Assist with monitoring cooking times and maintaining consistent food quality.
• Package pizzas and other menu items accurately for dine-in, pickup, and delivery.
• Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and preparation areas.
• Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, equipment, and work surfaces.
• Restock ingredients, packaging materials, utensils, and cleaning supplies.
• Label, store, and rotate food products according to food safety procedures.
• Remove trash and food waste and maintain orderly kitchen areas.
• Follow food handling, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
• Assist with opening, closing, cleaning, and other kitchen support duties.

Qualifications

• Previous pizza shop, restaurant, kitchen, or food service experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of food preparation and kitchen safety practices.
• Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and established procedures.
• Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and food quality.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to safely handle kitchen tools and equipment.
• Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
• Comfortable standing, walking, bending, lifting, and performing physical kitchen tasks for extended periods.
• Willingness to learn new food preparation and kitchen procedures.
• Ability to assist with multiple tasks during busy service periods.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
