Pizza Kitchen Service Associate

Job Summary

Pizza Lucé Downtown is hiring a Pizza Kitchen Service Associate to support daily pizza preparation, kitchen service, order fulfillment, and restaurant operations. This role assists with preparing ingredients, assembling pizzas, handling customer orders, maintaining clean work areas, and supporting the kitchen team during busy service periods.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare pizza dough, sauces, toppings, cheeses, and other ingredients
• Assemble pizzas and menu items according to recipes and customer orders
• Assist with cooking and monitor food quality and presentation
• Operate pizza ovens, kitchen equipment, and POS systems as trained
• Prepare and package dine-in, takeout, and delivery orders accurately
• Take customer orders and provide friendly, professional service
• Restock ingredients, packaging, beverages, and kitchen supplies
• Maintain clean and organized kitchen, preparation, and service areas
• Wash and sanitize utensils, equipment, and food preparation surfaces
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures
• Support kitchen and service teams during high-volume periods
• Assist with opening, closing, and general restaurant duties

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous pizza, restaurant, food service, or customer service experience is an asset but not required
• Basic knowledge of food preparation and safe food handling
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment
• Basic math and payment-handling abilities
• Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn
• Ability to stand for extended periods and multitask

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in a pizzeria or restaurant kitchen
• Familiarity with pizza ovens and commercial kitchen equipment
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
• Experience with POS systems and order processing
• Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities
• Good organization and time management skills

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
