Duties

• Prepare and assemble a variety of pizzas according to established recipes and menu specifications
• Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and slicing tools safely and efficiently
• Maintain strict adherence to food safety standards and sanitizing procedures to ensure a clean and safe workspace
• Assist with menu planning by providing input on pizza options and ingredient selections
• Manage food production processes, including dough preparation, topping distribution, and baking times
• Ensure consistent quality control by monitoring ingredient freshness and presentation standards
• Support the culinary team with food handling, meal preparation, and catering events as needed

Skills

• Proven experience in food preparation within a restaurant or food industry setting, especially in pizza or fine dining environments
• Strong knife skills and familiarity with operating kitchen equipment
• Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures
• Experience with recipe adherence, braising, poaching, grilling, and other cooking techniques
• Ability to work efficiently in high-volume production environments while maintaining attention to detail
• Excellent food handling skills with a focus on quality control and presentation
• Background in dietary aide tasks or dietary department experience is a plus for accommodating special dietary needs

Pay: $25.65 - $30.89 per hour
