Duties

• Prepare and assemble a variety of pizzas according to established recipes and menu specifications, ensuring consistency and quality.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, slicers, and other tools safely and efficiently.
• Follow food safety sanitizing procedures rigorously to maintain a clean and hygienic workspace.
• Assist with menu planning by suggesting new pizza toppings or styles based on customer preferences and current food trends.
• Maintain proper food handling practices during all stages of food production, including poaching, braising, grilling, and food preparation.
• Ensure adherence to recipe guidelines and portion control to support high-volume production while minimizing waste.
• Collaborate with team members during meal preparation and catering events to deliver exceptional service in a fast-paced setting.

Experience

• Previous food industry experience, particularly in restaurant or catering environments, is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated culinary experience with skills in food preparation techniques such as grilling, braising, poaching, and knife handling.
• Familiarity with food safety management protocols and sanitizing procedures is essential.
• Experience working in fine dining or high-volume production settings will be considered an asset.
• Knowledge of menu planning and recipe adherence to ensure consistent quality across all dishes.
• Strong kitchen skills including operating commercial kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Prior dietary aide or dietary department experience is a plus for understanding special dietary needs related to food handling.

Pay: $26.30 - $31.67 per hour
