Bontempo Pizzeria, located in the heart of Fitzroy, is looking for an experienced and passionate Pizza Maker to join our team.

We are a busy Italian restaurant focused on high-quality, authentic pizzas, fresh ingredients and excellent customer experience. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

About the Role:

• Prepare and cook authentic Italian-style pizzas to a high standard
• Prepare dough, sauces and toppings
• Operate and maintain a wood-fired pizza oven
• Ensure consistency in pizza quality, presentation and portioning
• Maintain high standards of food safety, cleanliness and kitchen hygiene
• Work efficiently during busy service periods
• Assist with general kitchen duties when required
• Work closely with the kitchen and front-of-house team

About You:

• Previous experience as a Pizza Maker is preferred
• Experience with wood-fired ovens is highly desirable
• Good knowledge of pizza preparation, dough handling and cooking techniques
• Able to work efficiently under pressure
• Reliable, punctual and well presented
• Strong attention to detail
• Team player with a positive attitude
• Passionate about Italian food and hospitality
