Job Summary

Darling Jack’s Tavern is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Pizza Maker to assist with preparing and producing high-quality pizzas in a busy restaurant kitchen. The ideal candidate takes pride in food preparation, maintains a clean workstation, and works well with other kitchen team members.

In this role, you will prepare ingredients, assemble pizzas according to recipes, monitor cooking times, and help maintain consistent food quality during service. You will also follow food safety procedures and support efficient kitchen operations during busy periods.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare pizza dough, sauces, cheese, and toppings according to established recipes.
• Assemble pizzas accurately and maintain consistent portion sizes.
• Operate pizza ovens and kitchen equipment safely after appropriate training.
• Monitor cooking times and check finished pizzas for quality and presentation.
• Coordinate with cooks and other kitchen team members to complete orders promptly.
• Keep preparation surfaces, utensils, and equipment clean and organized.
• Store ingredients properly and follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Monitor ingredient supplies and notify the appropriate team member when stock is low.
• Follow kitchen procedures and help maintain an orderly work environment.
• Assist with other food preparation duties as needed.

Requirements

• Interest in food preparation and pizza making.
• Ability to follow recipes and kitchen instructions carefully.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and time-management skills.
• Dependable attendance and a willingness to learn.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and safely handle kitchen equipment, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Previous pizza-making or restaurant kitchen experience is preferred but may not be required.
