Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble pizza dough, sauces, toppings, and cheeses according to established recipes and menu specifications
• Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and slicing tools safely and efficiently
• Maintain strict food safety sanitizing procedures to ensure a clean and hygienic work environment
• Monitor cooking times and temperatures for optimal pizza quality and consistency
• Assist in menu planning by suggesting new toppings or specialty pizza ideas based on customer preferences and industry trends
• Ensure proper food handling techniques are followed during all stages of food production and service
• Support high-volume production during peak hours while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards

Skills

• Proven experience in food preparation, especially within pizzeria or restaurant settings
• Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques such as grilling, braising, poaching, and food safety management
• Knowledge of dietary department procedures and dietary aide experience is a plus
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent food handling skills with a focus on hygiene, sanitation, and recipe adherence
• Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and catering is advantageous
• Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure while maintaining high standards of food quality

Pay: $26.20 - $31.56 per hour
