Pizza Maker / Pizza Prep Cook – Events

Lao Rican Pizza Co. is looking for a reliable, energetic Pizza Maker to join our team for upcoming events throughout September and beyond.

This is a hands-on, fast-paced position working at festivals, community events, carnivals and other pop-up events throughout Connecticut.

Your primary responsibility will be preparing pizzas for the oven. You’ll take our pre-portioned dough balls, stretch/press them into pizza rounds, add sauce, cheese and toppings according to our recipes, and pass the finished pizza to the oven station.

Responsibilities

• Stretch and shape pizza dough from dough ball to pizza round
• Sauce, cheese and top pizzas consistently according to our recipes
• Keep up with orders during busy event rushes
• Maintain a clean and organized prep station
• Restock dough, sauce, cheese and toppings as needed
• Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures
• Work closely with the oven and order teams to keep pizzas moving quickly
• Assist with light setup, breakdown and cleaning when needed

What We’re Looking For

• Pizza-making or kitchen experience is preferred, especially experience stretching dough
• Comfortable working quickly in a high-volume environment
• Dependable and punctual
• Positive attitude and works well with a team
• Able to stand for extended periods
• Available for weekday and weekend events throughout September
• Reliable transportation to event locations throughout Connecticut

Schedule

This is a part-time/event-based position with multiple events scheduled throughout September, including events in Stratford, Waterbury, Milford and Shelton. Additional opportunities may be available after September as our event schedule grows.
