Job Summary

Newk's Eatery is hiring a Pizza Prep Associate to support daily food preparation and restaurant kitchen operations. This role assists with preparing pizza ingredients, assembling menu items, maintaining food quality, restocking supplies, and keeping the kitchen clean, organized, and ready for efficient service.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare pizza dough, sauces, cheeses, meats, vegetables, and other ingredients
• Portion and organize ingredients according to recipes and preparation standards
• Assist with assembling pizzas and other menu items
• Prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently
• Monitor ingredient freshness, quality, and proper storage
• Restock ingredients, packaging, and kitchen supplies
• Label, date, and rotate food products according to food safety procedures
• Maintain clean and organized preparation stations and kitchen areas
• Wash and sanitize utensils, equipment, and food-contact surfaces
• Operate food preparation equipment safely as trained
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures
• Support kitchen team members during busy service periods

Requirements

• Previous restaurant, food preparation, pizza, or kitchen experience is an asset but not required
• Basic knowledge of food preparation and safe food handling
• Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and portion standards
• Strong attention to detail and food quality
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads

Preferred Skills

• Experience with pizza or restaurant food preparation
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
• Familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment
