Pizza Restaurant Support Worker

Job Summary

Pizza Birra Vino is seeking a dependable, friendly, and team-oriented Pizza Restaurant Support Worker to assist with daily restaurant operations and help provide a welcoming experience for guests. This role supports food preparation, order handling, customer service, cleaning, restocking, and coordination between kitchen and front-of-house team members to help maintain smooth and efficient service.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and provide courteous, professional assistance.
• Assist with taking and organizing dine-in, takeout, and pickup orders.
• Help prepare pizza ingredients, toppings, sauces, and other menu items.
• Support pizza assembly, food preparation, packaging, and order presentation.
• Assist with serving pizzas, appetizers, side dishes, and beverages.
• Check orders for accuracy and completeness before serving or packaging.
• Answer basic customer questions about menu items and direct other inquiries to the appropriate team member.
• Assist with point-of-sale transactions and customer payments as needed.
• Maintain clean and organized dining areas, counters, service stations, and kitchen workspaces.
• Restock ingredients, food containers, napkins, utensils, beverages, and other supplies.
• Clean food preparation areas, utensils, and equipment according to established procedures.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, hygiene, and workplace safety guidelines.
• Communicate supply needs, customer requests, and service concerns to supervisors.
• Assist with opening, closing, cleaning, and general restaurant duties.
• Support kitchen and front-of-house staff during busy service periods.
• Handle food, equipment, and restaurant supplies carefully and responsibly.
• Help maintain consistent food quality, order accuracy, and service standards.
• Perform other restaurant support duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, pizzeria, food service, hospitality, or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
• Friendly, professional, and customer-focused attitude.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Willingness to learn food preparation and restaurant service procedures.

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
