Pizza Sanitation Technician

Job Summary

Stoner's Pizza Joint is hiring a Pizza Sanitation Technician to maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and hygiene throughout the restaurant and kitchen. This role is responsible for cleaning food preparation areas, sanitizing kitchen equipment, maintaining dishwashing stations, managing waste disposal, and helping ensure compliance with food safety and workplace sanitation standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize kitchen workstations, counters, preparation surfaces, and floors.
• Wash, rinse, sanitize, and store dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment.
• Clean pizza ovens, preparation stations, sinks, and other equipment according to established procedures.
• Maintain clean and organized food preparation, dishwashing, storage, and service areas.
• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures to help prevent contamination.
• Safely handle cleaning chemicals and use sanitation equipment according to instructions.
• Empty trash containers and maintain clean waste disposal areas.
• Restock cleaning supplies, sanitizers, paper products, and other sanitation materials.
• Monitor sanitation supplies and report shortages or equipment problems to management.
• Assist kitchen team members with general cleaning and utility duties as needed.
• Follow proper procedures for cleaning spills and maintaining safe floors.
• Support routine cleaning, opening, and closing activities.
• Report sanitation concerns, damaged equipment, or potential safety hazards to supervisors.
• Perform additional cleaning and sanitation duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• Previous restaurant, kitchen, janitorial, dishwashing, or sanitation experience is an asset but not required.
• Knowledge of basic cleaning, hygiene, and sanitation practices.
• Ability to follow food safety procedures and cleaning instructions.
• Strong attention to cleanliness and detail.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift or move supplies safely.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with restaurant or commercial kitchen sanitation.
• Familiarity with dishwashing equipment and food service cleaning procedures.
• Knowledge of safe chemical handling and sanitizer use.
• Strong organization and time management skills.
• Ability to identify and report sanitation or safety concerns.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
