Pizza Service Worker

Job Summary

Romano's Pizza is seeking a dependable, friendly, and service-oriented Pizza Service Worker to support daily restaurant operations and provide customers with a positive dining experience. This role involves assisting with pizza preparation, taking and assembling orders, serving food and beverages, maintaining cleanliness, restocking supplies, and working with team members to ensure efficient service.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and provide courteous, professional service.
• Take dine-in, takeout, and phone orders accurately.
• Confirm pizza sizes, toppings, modifications, and special requests.
• Assist with preparing pizza ingredients, sauces, toppings, and other menu items.
• Help assemble pizzas and prepare orders according to established procedures.
• Support food preparation, portioning, packaging, and order assembly.
• Serve pizzas, appetizers, sides, and beverages promptly when assigned.
• Check completed orders for accuracy, completeness, and proper presentation.
• Answer basic customer questions about menu items and available options.
• Operate the point-of-sale system and process payments when assigned.
• Maintain clean and organized kitchen areas, counters, dining spaces, and service stations.
• Clean and sanitize food preparation surfaces, utensils, and equipment according to established procedures.
• Restock ingredients, pizza boxes, containers, napkins, condiments, and other supplies.
• Follow food handling, storage, sanitation, hygiene, and workplace safety guidelines.
• Coordinate with kitchen and front-of-house staff to support timely order completion.
• Handle food, equipment, and restaurant supplies carefully and responsibly.
• Report customer concerns, supply shortages, and equipment issues to supervisors.
• Assist with opening, closing, cleaning, and general restaurant duties.
• Support coworkers during busy service periods while maintaining order accuracy.
• Perform other pizza service and restaurant support duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous pizza restaurant, food service, hospitality, or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
• Friendly, reliable, and customer-focused attitude.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and established food preparation procedures.
• Good attention to detail and order accuracy.
• Willingness to learn pizza preparation methods and restaurant operations.
• Ability to maintain cleanliness and follow food safety practices.

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
