Job Summary

Pangea Kitchen is seeking a Pizza Takeout Associate to support takeout and pickup operations while providing friendly, efficient customer service. This role is responsible for receiving orders, coordinating with kitchen staff, packaging food accurately, processing payments, and ensuring customers receive their orders promptly and in good condition.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service.
• Receive and process takeout and pickup orders accurately.
• Verify order details, special instructions, and customer information.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to monitor order preparation and completion.
• Package pizzas, side dishes, sauces, and beverages securely.
• Check completed orders for accuracy before handing them to customers.
• Process cash, credit card, debit card, and other approved payment transactions.
• Answer customer questions about menu items, order status, and pickup procedures.
• Organize pickup orders to support timely and efficient service.
• Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked counter and packaging areas.
• Restock containers, bags, napkins, utensils, condiments, and other supplies.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, hygiene, cash-handling, and workplace safety procedures.
• Communicate order delays or customer concerns to the appropriate team members.
• Assist with opening, closing, and general restaurant duties.

Requirements

• Previous restaurant, pizza, takeout, retail, or customer service experience is an asset but not required.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Basic math and payment-handling abilities.
• Good attention to detail and order accuracy.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and manage multiple orders.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in a pizzeria or quick-service restaurant.
• Familiarity with POS systems and digital order platforms.
• Knowledge of food packaging and basic food safety practices.
• Strong organization and time-management abilities.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with kitchen and front-counter staff.
• Good problem-solving and customer service skills.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
