Pizza Training Coordinator

Job Summary

Invictus Pizza Kitchen is seeking an organized, knowledgeable, and team-oriented Pizza Training Coordinator to support employee training, develop kitchen skills, and promote consistent food preparation and service standards. The ideal candidate will coordinate training activities, guide team members through established procedures, and help ensure employees understand pizza preparation, food safety, customer service, and daily kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate onboarding and training activities for new kitchen and service employees.
• Train team members on pizza preparation, ingredient handling, portion control, and presentation standards.
• Explain recipes, preparation procedures, cooking times, and kitchen workflows.
• Demonstrate the safe and proper use of ovens, mixers, and other kitchen equipment.
• Reinforce food safety, sanitation, storage, and temperature-control procedures.
• Develop and maintain training schedules, checklists, and instructional materials.
• Monitor employee progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Work with kitchen supervisors and managers to identify training needs.
• Support cross-training across food preparation, packaging, and customer service duties.
• Ensure employees understand order accuracy, quality standards, and service expectations.
• Conduct practical demonstrations and assess employee competency.
• Maintain accurate training records and document completed training activities.
• Help introduce updated recipes, menu items, equipment procedures, and operational practices.
• Encourage teamwork, professionalism, and consistent performance.
• Identify recurring training gaps and recommend improvements.
• Assist managers with refresher training and ongoing employee development.
• Perform other training and kitchen support duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a pizzeria, restaurant kitchen, food service training, or team leadership preferred.
• Strong understanding of pizza preparation and kitchen operations.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and safe equipment handling.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to explain procedures clearly and demonstrate tasks effectively.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Comfortable coaching employees with different experience levels.
• Good observation, feedback, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to maintain accurate training documentation.
• Reliable, professional, and committed to quality standards.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
